Position: Level 3 Qualified Nursery Practitioner
Location: Southsea, Portsmouth
Salary: Pay Band 3 £24,796 - £25,201 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications)
Benefits: Greatbenefits package including 27 days holiday (rising to 31 after 5 years service) plus public holidays AND the Local Authority pension scheme
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday (52 weeks per year)
Contract Type: Offering either a 12 week Temp to Perm arrangement or a Permanent contract
Manaba Education and Childcare are delighted to be working in partnership with an Ofsted rated 'Good' Nursery school in Southsea, Hampshire and we are supporting their recruitment for two Qualified Nursery Practitioners (with a minimum Level 3 qualification) to join their vibrant childcare team.
The ideal candidates will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience of working with young children aged 0-4 years.

As part of this busy and varied role you will be a key worker to a group of children, implement activities to support children’s development and learning and maintain accurate developmental records.
Duties
Provide a high standard of Childcare and Education for children aged between 6 months – 4 years
Create a stimulating and friendly environment that is physically and emotionally secure
Ensure children’s welfare is of paramount importance
Enable children’s access to learning by supervising and assisting children’s (one to one and in small groups) across a wide range of activities and supported learning activities
To promote the development of the physical and mental well-being of children
Requirements
Experience required for the role of Level 3 Nursery Practitioner
Qualified to at least Level 3 in Childcare (or equivalent)
Have prior experience of working within a nursery setting
Have a good working knowledge of the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage
Is keen to learn and wants to make a difference, both individually and as a team
A role model who enjoys working with children and is able to communicate effectively on all levels
Able to use their initiative and work independently where appropriate
Willing to undertake Key Worker responsibilities
