Job Overview
Manaba are working with an Oftsed rated 'Good' nursery in Hythe, Southampton who are recruiting for a Deputy Nursery Manager to join their team.
We are looking for an experienced Early Years leader with a minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years to support the day to day management of this lovely setting, alongside the current Manager whilst ensuring the nursery provision is of the highest quality, providing a safe, stimulating, and caring child-centred environment catering for all children’s educational and developmental needs.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the nursery in the absence of the Nursery Manager
Support the efficient day to day management, leadership and supervising of the nursery and support the overall delivery of a high-quality service to all service users
Support the development of the nursery in liaison with the Nursery Manager and Room Leaders
Build, develop and maintain a positive, supportive, and professional culture within the nursery
Always role model exceptional practice for children and all staff
Ensure the nursery meets Ofsted requirements at all times
Be a flexible member of staff within the nursery – leading by example and role modelling flexible and professional behaviour.
Support the forward planning and organisation of staff rotas and sickness/absence cover to ensure appropriate staffing levels are always maintained in relation to staff:child ratios
Support to monitor all record keeping within the nursery
Support the Nursery Manager to monitor all purchases, ensuring to remain within set budgets
Applicants MUST hold a minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years
