SEN Learning Support Assistant (Supply)
About This Role
Manaba are currently recruiting for enthusiastic and experienced candidates who wish to work as Learning Support Assistants in local mainstream and SEND schools with pupils aged 2-19 years. You will join our wonderful supply team here at Manaba and work in a selection of schools across Portsmouth and the local surrounding areas.
Responsibilities of a Manaba Learning Support Assistant:
Understanding to the individual learning and/or medical needs of the pupils
Positive and calm under pressure
Ability to demonstrate that you are trustworthy and ethical, with a supportive nature
Help with schoolwork under the supervision of the teacher
Help to prepare learning materials and help children understand instructions
Carry out a child's care plan under the guidance of the teacher
Encourage children to communicate and support them during social activities

Requirements
Requirements for a Manaba Learning Support Assistant:
Relevant experience within the education or care sector
At least 6 months experience of supporting young people in schools or within children's services
Transferable care skills
An understanding of the needs of individuals with learning and/or complex needs
A passion to encourage the development of young children
Current Enhanced DBS, or happy to apply for a new one
