About the role
Manaba are recruiting experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistants to support in a variety of mainstream primary schools in Cosham, Portsmouth, Havant and Waterlooville. It will be to work on a supply basis across both Key Stages 1 & 2 (Reception up to Year 6). If you have a preference of which age groups, this will be considered but ideally you will have the confidence to support across both.
These are predomintly for full time roles between the hours of 8.30am-3.30pm, Monday to Friday but we will also except part time applicants.
We would love to hear from candidates who have experience of supporting children with additional needs and have an understanding of de-escalation techniques, with a calming approach to supporting both their emotional and educational needs.
Responsibilities:
Working within mainstream Primary Schools, the successful candidates will be empathetic, calm, and able to deal with difficult behaviour, understanding when breaks are needed and be able to connect with all pupils. You must have previous experience of working with young people.

Requirements
Requirements:
Ideally you will hold a Teaching Assistant qualification (NVQ Level-3 or equivalent)
A passion and understanding behaviours in children like anxiety, and some behaviour issues or SEMH.
Enhanced Level DBS
At least 6 months experience in working with children
A minimum of x2 Employment References
